 James joined Cartwright Pickard architects in 2007, and brings to the practice experience of design and delivery of a wide range of high profile architectural and masterplanning projects. Prior to joining Cartwright Pickard Architects, James spent 3 years at FaulknerBrowns Architects, project running a new health and training facility for The Queen’s Club in West Kensington, London, and a £6million private office development that was part of a landmark regeneration project in Lancaster. In addition to this, James was a key member of the project team responsible for masterplanning a major £300million regeneration project in Doncaster. Other notable projects prior to joining Cartwright Pickard Architects are the competition winning office development at Middlehaven Dock, Middlesborough, and research and training facilities for NaREC, Northumberland - a leading research and development platform for new, sustainable and renewable energy technologies. Since joining Cartwright Pickard Architects in 2007, James has been involved in various mixed use, and office projects in North London, Rochdale, and Doncaster. As project architect, James has also delivered the Prince’s Street Offices, a £2.5million innovative office building in Doncaster. James has recently submitted a bid for a BSF primary school in Redcar, a BSF special needs school in Hull, and is currently working on the competition winning new Civic & Cultural Quarter development in Doncaster, the main focus of which is an energy efficient £25million Civic Office headquarters for Doncaster Council.
