Steve joined Cartwright Pickard architects in early 2006 to become the project architect for the award winning Bourbon Lane Housing Scheme, adjacent to the White City retail development in West London. This project is now complete and has achieved Eco Homes Very Good. The project incorporates a CHP Plant and several other environmental innovations to minimise energy consumption.

He has also designed a new £17million mixed-use housing and retail project in Bracknell for the Stanhope and Affinity Sutton Group. He has also recently designed several major masterplans for large regeneration projects.

Steve is an Associate and has developed a keen interest in residential design working on research ideas for an entry for the European housing competition in 2005 and in 2004 his design for student housing was short-listed in the RIBA sponsored Atlantic college competition.

Prior to joining Cartwright Pickard architects Steve was the project architect on a major refurbishment for a headquarters building for British Telecom and prior to this spent ten years working on a number of award winning projects such as the Oxo Tower, Walsall Bus Station and Broadgate Health Club.
