James Pickard will be speaking at this year’s World Architecture Festival being held in Berlin, 16-18 November.
James will be speaking on Housing, Energy and Construction with a primary focus on air quality, superinsulation and the importance of daylight. How do you pitch, procure, and build housing with 0% or even negative energy use? How can you demonstrate that the development of cost-effective designs of components, construction systems and processes can add value for both occupier and client, through building performance evaluation, intelligence and data?
Full details and ticket booking can be found at WAF 2016.
Here at Cartwright Pickard, we take a holistic view of sustainable design so that structural, environmental and architectural elements all contribute in providing low energy solutions. We have designed many award winning buildings to the highest environmental performance standards – BREEAM Excellent, Code for Sustainable Homes 3, 4 and 5, Eco Homes Excellent, and Passivhaus – as well as having undertaken recent research into air quality in new homes and the impact this can have on health and wellbeing.
