Sidney Street Student Residences
A mixed-use scheme over two sites, in the Cultural Industries Quarter of Sheffield.
The primary use is student accommodation with private apartments, townhouses, office space, workshops, and a micro-brewery on site. The new build elements cross fund the retention and refurbishment of existing buildings.
In addition to providing opportunities for local businesses the new uses will animate the area 24 hours a day, providing amenities for residents, and reducing anti-social behaviour.
The scheme is due for completion in time for the 2013 academic intake.
