The first phase see the development of College House and Enfield Centre, two major teaching buildings for Leeds City College. Together, these buildings will accommodate over 1,500 students and staff across a combined 6,800 sqm of innovative learning space.
The design aims to strike a harmonious balance between the area’s conservation status and making a bold architectural statement in the Mabgate locality to provide an inspiring learning environment. The combined site will feature a spacious central refectory and extensive external landscaping - supporting connectivity between the buildings.
We were initially appointed by Leeds City College to develop a masterplan and estate rationalisation strategy that would consolidate and incorporate multiple sites into the new Mabgate campus.
The practice has since been appointed to design and deliver the two new teaching buildings.
