Associate Director

Charles graduated from the University of Liverpool and has over 20 years of professional experience.

Joining the practice in 2007 he has been responsible for projects spanning the commercial, residential, educational and cultural sectors and is particularly skilled in masterplanning challenging sites in complex planning and heritage settings.

With particular specialisms in architectural design, client brief development, construction delivery and project management, Charles has led the delivery of Lambeth Civic Centre, a major new civic development incorporating the creation of 13,905m² of energy efficient, highly flexible workspace, the refurbishment and renovation of the Grade II listed Town Hall, new public realm and 194 new mixed tenure homes.

Charles was also instrumental in securing planning permission for a new civic building for Crawley Borough Council which will provide over 4,000m² customer service and office space, and is currently leading on our mixed-use Wembley Park development and Merrick Place, a mixed-use urban regeneration scheme for Stanhope and Network Homes creating 575 new homes across built-to-rent, private and affordable tenures.

Charles has previously worked for Foster and Partners, Richard Horden Architects and Stanton Williams Architects.
