Philipp Lammers

Head of Digital Design

Philipp joined the practice in 2016 having previously worked at AHMM, UNIT Architects and GRID Architects.

As BIM Manager at Cartwright Pickard, Philipp is responsible for the development and implementation of BIM Standards, Technologies and Procedures in addition to providing in-house training and technical support for our project teams.

As part of this role Philipp engages with clients, project teams and consultants to develop the most suitable BIM standards for a variety of scenarios and the best use of BIM technologies to provide the information required to deliver and operate built assets at optimised cost and performance.

Since October 2017, he has also been working on our 7D BIM research project, a part Government, part private sector funded project exploring how we can predict the whole life cost and whole life carbon of a building for 30 years at every stage of the design process.

Philipp is a lecturer at the University of Applied Science in Münster, Germany and leads the university’s graduate and post-graduate classes on BIM with particular interests in combining academic research and established industry standards.

He has been invited to speak at various conferences about the adoption of BIM and its potential for the construction industry.
