Ross Ogilvie

Associate Director

Ross originally joined Cartwright Pickard in 2001 following the completion of his studies at the University of Sheffield, completing his professional qualification while working for the firm.

Following time spent working at John McAslan + Partners and Architects Design Partnership, Ross re-joined Cartwright Pickard in 2012 to manage our Manchester studio.

He has worked as the project director for a number of successful workplace schemes, including the £30m speculative office development XYZ in Spinningfields, and The Goods Yard, a 475,000sqft mixed-use development currently underway in Manchester’s new St John’s Quarter.

Ross has led the practice’s involvement in a number of substantial build-to-rent, private sale and PRS development bids in the north west, including Clayworks, a 277 unit build-to-rent development delivered as part of the Smithfield masterplan masterplan for Stoke-on-Trent.

As an Associate Director, Ross is an accomplished member of the practice with experience across a multitude of sectors. With a particular eye for designing sustainable buildings, he currently leads Cartwright Pickard’s practice-wide sustainability strategy.
