Steve Coyle

Project Director

Steve joined the practice in 1997 and has worked on wide range of projects ranging from a £120 million masterplan and headquarters office development in Newcastle and Sunderland for the DSS and Inland Revenue, a 350-bedroom development of student accommodation for the University of Brighton at Eastbourne, the Living Bridge award winning conceptual project for the Peabody Trust and London’s first mixed-tenure Passivhaus project at Sulgrave Gardens. He has particular expertise in large scale, mixed use regeneration schemes and housing design.

As Project Director, Steve led a £200million masterplan for Chatham Place in Reading and the design of Brunel Street Works in Newham, East London, which incorporates 1000 new homes including 335 PRS apartments for Fizzy Living, a 130 bedroom business hotel, gym and 200m² of commercial uses including cafes and bars as well as being part of the team which won the competition to deliver a new BREEAM excellent Civic Centre for the London Borough of Lambeth.

He is Project Director for a major new civic office and residential scheme for Crawley Borough Council.

Prior to joining the practice Steve spent five years working in the London office of BDP and at Denton Corker Marshall.
