The development looks to retain as much of the existing industrial buildings of architectural merit as possible. Albert Works, Speedwell Works and 77 Sidney Street will be retained with the addition of new infill structures to develop a vibrant mixed-use scheme within a multi-courtyard urban block.
New buff and red brick elevations along with bronze aluminium cladding alongside the refurbished existing red brick buildings have been carefully selected to reflect and complement the industrial heritage of the site.
The development will start this exciting re-development of the neighbourhood with a proposed second phase on the opposite side of Sidney Street to complete this urban regeneration, creating a gateway into the Cultural Industries Quarter.
