This project provides a rooftop sports hall and support facilities erected on the roof of an existing Victorian school.

The development represents a partnership between the London Borough of Islington’s Education Department and Winton Primary School and was funded by the government’s ‘Space for Sports and Arts’ initiative.

To minimise time on site and the risks to the school, the building was constructed using an innovative panelised offsite system manufactured by Corus, which was fitted in just days. This improved safety and minimised disruption to the school, which was occupied throughout the construction process.
