Located within easy walking distance of the city centre and local amenities, the project will create 221 studio and ‘twodio’ apartments in which students share a kitchenette.

The building steps down from 13 storeys to eight and then four storeys, designed to take account of both the future aspirations and the local historical context to create a proposal fitting of the area. It will be home to a community of postgraduate students who will have access to shared communal social and study spaces on the ground floor alongside a rooftop terrace with views over the city.

A simple yet rich and high-quality palette of materials will be used, including contrasting light and dark grey bricks creating a striped pattern and rhythm to the building’s facades.
